At the Belfry we employ our own Parent Support Advisor (PSA), Hayley Breeze, to help and support parents with worries or concern about their child. PSAs are also a point of contact to help signpost information on services, support groups or advice relevant to their need.
“My role in school basically is about supporting parents when their child starts at school! We want the children to be happy and settled in school, and if we can help support families in any way then the children benefit!
“It could be simple one-off worries, or longer term issues but I am there to help in any way that I can, school based or otherwise.
“I support parent/s who are struggling with any worries, attend meetings and liaise with various agencies, talk to the children on wishes and feelings, support filling forms in for referrals and help collect information for individual cases (ie: housing, benefits, groups) – basically just doing our best to offer an ear to listen to children, parents and families to try and make the time at the Belfry as successful as possible!”
