Welcome to The Belfry CE VA Primary School in Overstrand, on the beautiful North Norfolk coast. We are a small school with five classes and 139 pupils. The Belfry is a Church of England school with a Christian mission to educate, serving the children of Overstrand and the surrounding areas. The original school foundation dates back to 1830 and our current building was completed in 2006. It sits on extensive grounds behind the local community hub of the Belfry Centre, which used to be the village school.

Since June 2023 we have partnered with Worstead CE VA Primary School (nearby in rural North Norfolk) and share a headteacher and a deputy head, as well as many working practices. Both schools are part of the Diocese of Norwich's family and we have a shared Christian vision of hope - building a brighter future. Both The Belfry and Worstead each have their own distinct identity grounded in their local area and long history. 

Each morning a school leader is on the gate to greet the children. The children, their parents, the staff and the governors all work very hard to try and make the school the best that it can be and our motto is  “Happy People Learn”.
