Compassion

Compassion, alongside Perseverance, is the Christian Value that our school Vision is based upon.

 

 

We look to the parable of the Prodigal Son to help us understand perseverance (Luke 15:11-32)

 

Rembrandt's painting helps us visualise this.

 

Compassion is demonstrated clearly by the father in the Prodigal Son, and to make this understandable to children, we refer to the commandment 'Love One Another' (John 13:34).

 

Each class chose a 'non-cute' animal to remind them that these 'non-cute' animals need as much love as 'cute' kittens and puppies - just like everyone around us.
