Respect

Respect is one of our Christian Values chosen by the parents of the Belfry.

 

We used the story of "He who is without sin..." (John 8:1-7) to look at self-respect; that rather than focusing on others we should look to maintaining our own standards.

 

Oak class created a video retelling the story:

In Collective Worship the school used the video to create a retelling of the story

 

 

We look to Sky Brown, the skateboarding Olympian, to help us understand Respect. 

 

Sky Brown respects her family, school, coaches, country, and friends who have helped her become who she is.

 

She also shows self respect and maintains her standards and treats herself well, understanding that failure is just a speedbump and part of learning.
